One of the amazing gorges we saw on the trip. Beautiful trail with lots of steps. You can see mountain climbers along the way. Free for Zell am See discount card holders. Parking 3.5 euros. Highly recommended.

Fabulously maintained, safe, great hike and spectacular views of the gorge.

Not too busy even on a weekend. Plentiful parking. Everyone is provided with a helmet. Wearing helmets is mandatory.

If you get lucky, you see people climbing the mountains while you’re hiking. Family and kid safe. English friendly.

Visit this if you are in the area!!
Kitzloch gorge offers a well maintained walkway across amazing sights, from waterfalls to caves, forest paths and panorama platforms.

2 parkings avilable, the one closest to the gorge is paid (1 euro), the other one is free, but couple hundred meters away from entrance.

Can't say what the entrance fee is, as this also has free access for summer card holders (get that card, really).

The walkways and stairs are well maintained, even lights are installed along the route. The trip from entrance to exit takes about 1 hr, depending on how long you stay for views and photos.

An amazing hike inside a unique gorge. This hike takes starts from the lower part of the gorge and continues up above with a wonderful view to the gorge.
During the hike, you climb stairs, cross bridges, go inside stunning caves.
After that there is another split of the trail, that takes further to another gorge inside a forest.
There it leads to a monastery. While hiking to the monastery, you come across to a small waterfalls.
This area is also a heaven for climbers. We saw many of them during the hike.

Prepare for a lot of stairs and take notice of safety regulations because this beautiful water fall took its dead toll. Free with Sommer carte. Possible to walk to Rauris.

The place is very beautiful but it deserves better people than those at the reception. The man and woman who were there on August 26, 2025 were very rude and unwelcoming to people, especially after we showed our Zell am See Kaprun card. We are there with our money and we do not enter without a fee, so we deserve to see people who are worthy of the place and welcome visitors.

A wonderful place. We used the gorge as the beginning and ending of our walk through the area, and we have loved every moment of it. Please do take the helmet at the beginning of the gorge - despite being careful, both my wife and myself have bumped our heads 😅

Very nice place. You can walk not that long but be ready if you are scared of high because there is a place where you need to go up to the stairs
